Why is RTC constructing the new network?
A number of residents and commercial organizations in the city of Washington have reached out to us over the years for service. After addressing the communications needs of a dozen commercial organizations in the area, we felt that an opportunity existed to help businesses and residents with the RTC network.
What is the $25 Pre-Registration Deposit for?

This deposit holds your promotional pricing for you until your Fiberhood shows enough interest to get connected. This deposit could be held between 6-24 months depending on when you’re first billed if the fiberhood gets built out. Your pre-registration deposit in the amount of $25 will be automatically credited to you on your first month’s bill once your Fiberhood is connected. If at any time you choose not to purchase RTC service(s) we will refund your full $25 pre-registration deposit. In addition, if your Fiberhood does not receive enough interest to be connected, your pre-registration deposit will be refunded to you in full. *

How long will my $25 Pre-Registration Deposit be held for?

This deposit could be held between 6-24 months depending on when you’re first billed if the fiberhood gets built out. Your pre-registration deposit in the amount of $25 will be automatically credited to you on your first month’s bill once your Fiberhood is connected.

When will the build out begin?
Construction is planned to begin in the fall of 2019. In which we will build our fiber ring throughout the city of Washington. Once the city fiber ring has been put into place we will begin construction in fiberhoods that have shown enough interest.
When will the network be completed?
Completion will depend on the final design and the number of neighbourhoods that sign up for the new service. We estimate about 24 months after start of construction.
How much is RTC investing in my community, Washington?
RTC is investing $12 million to design, build and implement the network.
Who is paying for the Washington network build?
RTC is privately funding the build of this network using our financial strength and long ties to the southern Indiana community.
When will my fiberhood be connected to the RTC Intelecyn lightning fast network?

Who will have access to the network?
Any residential household or organization on the route to the network will have access to various service options, speeds and plans.  Please visit fiber2myhome.com or rtccom.com/follow-the-fiber to follow your fiberhood’s progress as we continue with construction.
Will commercial / businesses be able to get this service?
Yes.  The network actually started due to businesses and commercial entities expressing interest in the RTC network.
Will residents be able to get this service?
Yes.  Depending on interest level by neighborhood will determine the final route of the network and services offered to residential customers.
What speed can we expect?
You can expect connection speeds up to 1 gigabyte.
Is there an installation charge? If so, how much?
No, installation is free of charge because we want to get you connected to our amazing network.
Will my yard be impacted by the build?
The deployment and installation process will have little or no impact on individual yards of residents. 
Will any roads be impacted or closed?
We do not expect to have to close any roads and traffic will not be impeded unless absolutely necessary.  We will work with the city on our plans.
