Director of Information Technology

Full-time Position

The information technology director is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions. This includes directing all IT operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.

Essential Job Functions

  • Setting Company technical vision and leading company’s technological development
  • Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all Internet Service Networks, and Internal Networks
  • Collaborating with department heads, marketing, production, sales and operations as advisor of all technologies involved company wide
  • Identify and develop technologies to drive the companies top-ling revenue
  • Ensuring current technology standards and industry preferred practices are met
  • Monitoring of network analytics and making recommendations that align with current business goals
  • Supervising quality assurance processes, integration, and systems tests
  • Establishing network development and security processes and setting objectives for those processes
  • Mentoring team members
  • Identifying internal company needs
  • Monitoring of Performance profiling tools and procedures
  • Maintaining current network security standard with IT Team
  • Reviewing timeframes and budgets
  • Developing and implementing disaster and emergency recovery procedures
  • Supervising of current workflow with IT Department
  • Defining company standards for systems, equipment, and software
  • Sharing Technological visions, opportunities, and risks company-wide
  • Studying current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development
  • Studying information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
  • Representing company at conferences and networking events
  • Ensuring company’s technological processes and services comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Network Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field;Master’s degree in Network Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a technology-related discipline preferred
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with peers, brands leaders, and other senior management throughout the company
  • Able to be a “Big picture” visionary
  • Excellent leadership, team and staff; able to mentor and lead
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Able to align multiple strategies and ideas
  • Confident in producing and presenting work
  • In-depth understanding of the industry
  • Eight to ten years’ experience in Network Administration, information technology or related field; five years in management or leadership role
  • Experience with technology relative to the industry such as Calix Equipment and Networking, Cisco Equipment and Networking, Cisco IOS XR, Layer 2 and 3 networking with Calix and Cisco, VMware Virtualization, Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux Operating systems, Linux based DNS and DHCP, CO Phone Systems, Sip, PRI, POTS, Metaswitch Perimeta, Metaswitch AMS, Metaswitch CFS / EAS, Metaswitch SAS, Metaswitch MVS, and Metaswitch N-Series
  • Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
